ahhhh yes short reach plugged engine. my favorites.

i will get to priming the oil pump for ya later.

first - is your battery new and charged? (and do you have a good motorcycle battery....not JUNK)?are the terminals clean and tight? no paint between ground and frame right?

second - so with the new cam it won't fire or run at all. correct?

and with the old cam it will fire ( bang...boom) for a couple seconds and then die. correct?

have you set the timeing accorcing to specs?

do you have solid or hydraulic lifters? what kind of carb?

and with the new cam in....the plugs out....rear wheel up.... in fourth gear. now roll the motor over with the rear wheel and observe the pushrods going up and down. just leave the upper clips off and you can watch them.check to be sure they are not jumping or bent.

i don't remember exactly what.... but the cams forlate modelshovels(something about a dot on the end of them)are odd and possibly you have wrong year cam???

is this electric start????? single fire dyna????

you are checking the flywheel mark with front piston TDCand the front lifter at lowest position when timing right??

does your dyna have the weights?

you set your timing mark in the window checking to be sure front piston is tdc and front pushrod spins. then depending on which dyna ignition you have http://www.dynaonline.com/english/guides.htmset timing accorcingly. ussualy you leave a wire off the coil and rotate till light comes on in the advanced position. just follow the directions exactly as dyna has them and you will be all set. be sure the insulation over the wires coming out of the cone is in good condition. also that you don't have a wire tie pinching them anywhere. they are very fragile wires and don't like sharp bends. just a heads up on that.

that super e with your kisker should be no problems. i still think you need to roll the engine over and be sure the lifters aren't bent.IMHO
