I've cleaned up plenty of rotors, the question you need to ask yourself mainly, "is it nice enough... true enough, and worth the trouble vs a new 1?"

I know about your winter, seeing I'm in Indiana.

We've been lucky so far.

I'd probably start with some sandpaper, the grit depending upon the present rotor finish, before moving to using a polishing compound. And unless the rotor is some sorta stainless, it ain't gonna last past the first wetting down.

FR, polish all you like, but it would be better to buy chrome replacements if you want the finish to last. I clean mine in the winter with Blue Chrome, but they are back to normal after a few weeks.
