Hello, I'm a new member. I'm impressed with what   I have read on this forum. It is refreshing to know that folks like you are still around.  I bought my 57 Pan in 1974 and she is still a beauty.  I read some of your posts to my wife and she said that the values expressed were hard to find these days. I started building my 1941 knuckle about 7 years ago, took a break to raise some kids, had a heart attack, thought it was all over.... but now....I have found a long lost friend again....building old bikes..one part at a time.  My woman says she has not seen me so enthused about anything for several years (pre-heart attack) and wants to see me build the bike I have been dreaming of for many years.  One of our first dates was to go pay off the guy that had my knuckle motor...it has been a ride down a rough road ever since but I'm alive and ready for one more ride.

Old motorcycles !that's what keeps us going! Got my 46 knuck (basket) in 1971 Pan frame(thank god) built it as a chopper Re did it again in 1999 80cu in S&S lower all new chrome I just have to find good roads to ride it on  I did a 1952 pan shovel in 1978 on a 1973 FLH frame It's alittle easier on this old body The knuck gets more looks

Sounds like you have a few under your belt. My old lady doesn't understand "re-builds" when they run just fine to begin with..ha ha

Welcome and glad you are back to your Harley.
It's so much fun to build a motor cycle I am just finishing up my shovel head and kind of going to miss the long nights wrenching on her after work and ordering and receiving part on UPS I won't miss the credit card bills though
keep us posted and post some pictures for us!
