Thaks for the good word P-Girl.  Y'all will definitely be missed this year.  We will try our best to live up to the standard that you set last year.  Although I don't think anyone's gonna want to see me naked in the pool

Now that the weather is getting better, I am going to have to make a run up to see The Punishers.

You should come up.

Rini,
Glad to hear you and the wife are going to make it.  Yeah, it's a bummer some of the crew from last year are not going to make it.  We'll just have to make up for it, although I don't think I am going to get nekkid...I don't think...

We will definitely do a group ride on Saturday.  To me, that was one of the highlights of the trip last year.  I will try to get with someone local and figure out a good route.  I did't go on the ride up to the overlook with them last year.  They went right after we got into town and I was just looking for some food.  Firestarter went with them, so maybe he can lead us back up there.  I would like to check it out too.  I am open to any and all suggestions.

Stay tuned,
Dan

We got there just after youse guys rolled out last year.  We are coming for the day (Saturday, early enough to make the ride).  WE have to be in Indiana, Grandson due on the 15th, and need to be in MO for a Trike rally the 10 days later.  (Money is not an object when you have spent it all).

Will try the DELMARVA thing again this year.  All ride safe till we get together.

I'm going to try to get all my replys in one post.

Ron,

I am going to try to make it up for that.  Sounds like a good time.  Sounds like Law Dawg will be there too.  I enjoyed visiting with him and the Ms. last year.

Law Dawg,

Sorry to hear you won't make it this year.  I hope to see you at Crank and Tuckahoe's.

FLGEEZ,

I'm glad you are going to come up for the day.  I'm hoping to have the group ride a little earlier this year so we can get back and have some daylight left for kicking around Gettysburg.

Rini,

Good to hear you are confirmed.  That was a great ride we did last year.  That was some beautiful countryside.  Maybe we can incorporate some of it into this years ride.  I am going to get with Ron on some route ideas.  I might take a few recon rides up there in the next few months myself.

Sounds like fun again.  I'll be riding up for the day from Stafford, VA, which is just south of DC.  Ol Biker and a few others will probably ride up with me.

Set up a Departure time.  Jiggle and i will try to tag along.

Dan if your gonna have a big party on Friday night like we did last year, you don't want to plan your group ride to early. Gotta give the big drinkers time to get rid of the hangovers.

I hear ya Ron,

It won't be too early.  I'm not a morning person anyway.  I also want to give the daytrippers time to get there.  Ken and Ski, down south of me, are coming up for the day and I don't want them to have to get up at the crack of dawn to meet us.

Damn, here we go again!!  Hope to make it, Dan - just have to wait and see how the finances are.  Amy and I are getting married May 3 a little north of there (Mt. Pisgah just south of Beaver Springs) and receptions cost a LOT of $$$$.  Going to Bahamas for honeymoon and that costs a lot of $$$$ too.  Would anticipate making it up for a day or 2, but not Thur-Sun like last year.  To any that are undecided and wavering - we had a BLAST last year.  Agree with previous comments that staying at the Party Central is worth the extra money so you can have a good time and not have to worry about getting "home".  I seem to remember stumblin' upstairs last year with a little help from my friend Jack Daniels.....

Dan - you are correct - no, I do NOT want to see you nekkid in the pool......
Lynn & Heather - since I've seen ya'll nekkid in the pool, you will be sorely missed.....
Sean - although seen your nekkid ass more than once, you'll still be missed too
Ron - I was already planning to bring you some sunscreen for this years effort.....

Anyone heard from Dadofsix or Sk1dm4rk recently?

Gary

Dan,
I talked another couple into making the trip.  They booked a room yesterday and want to be added to the York tour.
Thanks!

Gary,

It's good to hear from you.  Congrats to you and Amy on the wedding.  She's a great gal.  I really do hope you guys can make it up at least for one night.  I was wondering the same about Marc the other day.  I haven't heard anything from him since he posted his haircut pics.  Maybe now that he's all "respectable" looking he doesn't want to hang with us low lifes anymore (I guess I shouldn't have made the Pat Boone comment).  I hope he jumps in at some point and joins us.  He's a great guy and I really enjoyed talking with him last year.

Stash,

I'm glad you are recruiting more folks.  I will put them down for the tour also. I think that leaves us with 10 spots left on the tour.  I will have to check my count.

OK, Dan, we are in and reservation is made for Thursday night-Saturday night.  I have talked my step-brother and his wife into joining us so we should be there sometime mid to late afternoon Thursday.  We'll be on bikes, so I can't help much with transporting "goods", but can help with anything you want to get done before the masses arrive Friday - let me know.

I PM'd Sk1m4rk (Mark) and he is in fact planning on coming.  Have not heard back from Dadofsix (Marc) yet.

Gary (and by default, Amy)

Dan, I've made my reservations for Thur-Sun.

Gary, I set up a ride last year with people from work and 1 of them passed away last December. I am going to make this years ride in rememberence of him, Scott Quillen.....he was also a ride captain for the PGR. I contacted the State captain, R. Moyer, Jr.,  to see about incorporating the PGR graphic into a t-shirt design for the riders. If you guys are going up Thurs, would you be interested in riding with us?

Scott.

Gary and Scott, glad you are confirmed.  Gary, I will let you know as we get closer if I need any help.

Scott, the remembrance ride sounds like a cool thing to do for your friend.  I can think of no better way to pay tribute to a fellow rider than the sound of some good old American Iron rumbling down the road.

Would we be "interested" in joining up with you?  Absolutely!!  Always interested in riding with anyone, particularly since we met last year at GBBW and stuff.  My concern is the timing.  As I said above, my step-brother and wife are coming up from TN to go with us to GBBW.  They will be leaving TN Wednesday after work, but I don't know exactly when they will arrive here Thursday morning or if they will need a break before we head back out.  Keep me posted on what your plans are and if it turns out to be feasible then we're on.  If not, we'll hook up in G'burg....

I have met Bob Moyer from my PGR activities - nice guy.....

Gary

Cool. As time gets closer, I'll set the ride up. Most likely will travel a route similar to last year. We were riding through Dover about 830 or 9am last year. The time will be flexible. We will definately not be in a hurry, just enjoying the ride.

I almost forgot, one of my buddies is looking to see if he (state police) can escort us to the MD/DE state line in Newark. I'll know for sure in a couple of weeks.

When you get it all figured out, go to my profile and e-mail me as opposed to posting it here.  I try to check in here regularly, but I'm on my e-mail pretty much all day.  We planned a route last year to G'Burg on the back roads that was pretty laid back and relaxed.....

Hey Ratpack,

Welcome to the forum.  It is a good group of folks on here.  There should still be plenty of rooms available.  Just call the hotel and tell them you want the group rate for HDFORUMS.  Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Dan

Hey, you all on DELMARVA, I just found out that if I get enough riders in my group, I CAN get the ride escorted to the PA state line by the DSP motor unit. If your interested, please let me know.

How many do you need and how many do you have?  It would be nice to have an escort when I'm NOT in trouble for something!!   I still won't know a timetable for departure until closer to GBBW....

Hi Gary and Amy!  Glad to see you guys are making the trip again...it will be neat to address you as Mr and Mrs this time....congrats on the upcoming marriage.  I will buy you a JD to celebrate.

It will be nice to see most all again, Joe, Mark, Mark, Dan and others.
