Default VRod Trike....opinions

Wife fell in love with an 03 VRod trike, 1800 mi, @Hutchins HD, asking 27K (way too much), what are your opinions on the proposed HD "learning trike" vs Sporty or VRod trikes (she needs a very low seat height). Thanks

What is the proposed HD learning trike? I'm lost there. As far as the Vrod trike I like the ones Ive seen. And I really like a Sportster trike.

Somewhere in here is a web site for some trike location that had Honda's,Kaw's,Dressers and I'll be darned a trike VROD. I can't remember if I liked it for its looks or its novelty.

I've seen quite a few Vrod trikes on ebay in the past, some as low as 19K. In my opinion I think the Vrod trike looks most like a "factory built" trike, it amlmost looks like it rolled out of HD looking the way it does.

I have heard that the HD proposed leaning trike will have a V-rod motor in it like 2000cc but it all rumors HD only lets certain employees in where this sort of stuff is developed. Really top secret like the CIA.
I did test ride a v-rod on 2 wheelsand it's a whole new experience nothing like your touring HD bike. That V-rod starts coming on at about 5000 RPM and it don't stop. The extra ponies would work great with the extra weight of a trike. Just my opinion. I would buy one but out here in California you don't see many trikes they classify them as a vehicle so that can't meet the emissions. Ain't that a bitch.

I'm confused , is that Learning Trike to learn how to handle a Trike ? or just to ride a bike ?

In my mind/sight it is a step from a car to a bike ...

I believe it just a new type of suspension on a new type of trike which will enable a reversed trike to lean like a 2 wheel bike. Just my opinion. I guess only Harley and Lehman really know.
