Except for my Colt 1911, I pretty much started out shooting S&W. My first 1 was a model 19 followed by a 17. They both have 6" barrels and same grips and can also be used in the same holster. Over the years I've had several others including my favorite a model 41. It is fun to shoot and accurate as well. One of the last Smiths that I bought was a model 21 Thunder Ranch. Sometimes I like shooting guns that aren't the norm and the 21 is different than what you might find in your local gun store. It comes in 44 special.

How many others like S&W?

I have a 4" Smith Model 19.  It's a lot of fun, and I love it, but I am still a Colt 1911 guy when push comes to shove.

2 of my favorite pieces are Smiths...

For everyday carry I have one of the M&P40's and for fun at the range I have a JM625 w/ 4.5 in bbl in .45acp.

My first handgun was my Model 29-3 .44 magnum. Still my only Smith and my only wheelgun. I do want to get a couple more Smiths. The trigger on my 29 is AWESOME! I'd really like to get a 27-2 .357 magnum.

Cheers!

Smith & Wesson do make some fine pistols, and I own a few.
IMHO, you can't beat a J frame S&W either as my BUG(back up gun) or as a primary when it's really hot and minimal clothing is required.
I own a couple, my favorite is the stainless Model 642 Bodyguard(hump back) with Crimson Trace compact grips.

I carried a 5906 as a duty weapon for about 8 years.  It was a good gun.  They are basically garbage throats and will shoot anything your stick in them.  When we got our Glocks,  I bought mine from the dept with 3 high capacity mags (Brady bill days) for 180 bucks.  I saw a chance to double my money and let it go about 3 weeks later.  Even though it was a good gun,  I don't miss it a bit.

Two of the most accurate handguns I own are Smith & Wessons: model 629 with a 6.5-inch barrel and the SW1911 with the adjustable rear sight. FUN GUNS!

My everyday carry piece is a scandium alloy J-Frame model 340PD - a .357 Magnum that weighs 11.5-ounces.

I carried a model 64 stainless on duty for about 5 years. I still have it in the safe, adorned with Hogue grips. Reliable as sin. I keep it for sentimental purposes only. I bought a g19, but hardly ever carry it. My best gun is still my Taurus snubby. Seems to go everywhere with me.

I' All ways owned S&W like the wheel guns Just picked up A 2in k frame fixed sight made before the number designation its a 5 screw from what I could research I figure it's from around 1950, I grade it around 95% I like there older models Pinned barrels recessed cylinders on the N frames. Also got a model 10 4 screw 4in heavy barrel from around 1957 around 70% got it from a retired N.Y.PD Officer He was in his mid to late 70's when he sold it 4 years ago. Had tears in his eyes made my eyes tear Gun has a lot of Holster wear N.Y.PD  carried there duty guns in a JAYPEE Holster that has a spring clip in the holster that is pushed in with the index finger to pull the gun out Its a open top Holster that only the grips stick out. I got a lot of respect for the old time Leo no radios they used call box's to call in or blew a whistle A lot of them walked a beat back then no cars they walked in all kinds of weather rain snow. I remember as a kid when I was 5 or 6 1955 the N.Y.City officers were 6ft or taller Dark blue woolen uniforms Like a double breasted brass buttons  with a collar that went around there neck Green leather gloves and A wooden night stick. GOD BLESS THEM ALL

I have a 686,.357 in stainless steel and a pre-WW2 Military&police .38. The old one doesn't come out much as the 686. I want to try different models from different companies. Trying to find one that I like the best and that seems to be the Colt 1911.

I love my S&W revolvers.
I had one S&W 9mm auto. I wasn't crazy about it and traded it off.
I would like to try the new M&P autos.

I have a "thing" for Smith and Wesson revolvers.  I currently have a model 325, which is a .45 acp revolver made of scandium and titanium with a snubby two inch barrel.  I also have a model 629 .44 magnum and a model 642 .38 hammerless snubby.  Revovlers are just cool.  I also have a Colt SAA.

I have a S&W Model 66 .357 with a 6.5 barrel and the checkered wooden grips.  I absolutely love that gun.  Fun to shoot.  Shoots well and is accurate. Put .38's in it and you can plink all day without getting tired.  I carry a S&W Model 4053 Tactical .40 cal auto.  It is light as the frame is alloy.  It really shoot well and is easy to be accurate.  Not too big and I really like the way it fits my hand.

I am an avowed S&W fan. Had dozens of personally owned guns through the years, but S&W is the only brand I've kept. Carried the S&W model 15 as a duty weapon (military and police) for a couple of decades, and have to say it's the most rugged wheel gun I've ever encountered.

My favorite, however, and the only handguns I now have, are my 2 39-2's. I will never sell or trade those 2.

My father in-law gave me his S&W 357 snub nose.  I had heard that "snubs" were inaccurate but I can hit cans at 25 yards all day.  Seems like the gun is well built.  I hope to add the M&P 40 to my collection soon.

When I was younger, I had a 19 that I really liked, right up until I went to the range with a friend who was banging away with a 29.  I went and traded for a 29 that day.  I ended up trading it about ten years ago, and have regretted it often.  I would sure like to get another - they are fun weapons to shoot.
