I have seen alot of diagrams floating around and wondered if someone could send me a semi simple drawing/sketch. Kick Start only and i have a box and two buckets of parts. The frame is a 1982 with all the wiring attached but I am putting a 74 motor on it. Any tips would be nice also, libnjay@yahoo.com.

Here is a factory wiring diagram with the call outs for a 1973-1974 XLCH.
The second wiring diagram is one I drew up for a member who had electric start. He then did not want electric start, so I 'revised' the drawing. All of the cross-hatched items are related to the electric starter and are not required (or even wanted) for a kick start bike. Wheather or not this diagram is simpler than the factory is highly debatable.....pg

gerrrrrr fn box i cant ever get this thing to work all this money and the comp is still smarter than me.....anyway i have the hd factory manual for the 1979 to 1985 sportie that has the dealers wireing and i think i have e mailed it to you please let me know if u have it im going to post it hear too if i get it figured out
