Default Advice please

Hi , I have a 2008 105th Elecra glide and want to keep it looking sweet

Any advice on the best products for the following

Paintwork
Black plastic " dash trim "
wheels
Chrome
Windshield
seat
matt black engine parts

would you recomend washing with water each time the bike is cleaned ?
or just wet the bugs and wipe off ?

or do you think lightly dusting off and then polish ?

I dont want to scratch the paint or chrome , but if I keep washing it with water will it start to rust and tarnish / oxadise

and advice welcome

Thanks

from " The Londoner "
