Default Filling gas tank on 2008 ultra

I have a 2008 Ultra classic, and I have owned a dozen or so Harleys and have never (until now) had a problem filling the gas tank, the 08 will not take gas without spitting gas out while filling I go at different angles and different speeds still spits out around the filler tube, I talked to one guy that was having the same problem, he said he carried a rag to put around the gas nozzle to solve this problem, I tried this and it works but then you have a gas soaked rag to contend with, I really think Harley needs to address this problem before a fire happens, or it ruins my paint, But I need guys to tell there dealers if they are having this problem so we can get a recall on the tanks, Thanks

I have an 08... No issues filling it up... Put the nozzle in farther.

First time I filled up I covered my tank in gas.. Second time put the nozzle in as far as it would go and the shutoff worked fine. If you try and add more after this, you will spill again (don't ask me how I know)!..

I had the same problem the first few times I filled my SG up. Have now learned to grab several paper towels to be prepared, and put the nozzle all the way into the tank. Once it shuts off, I top off very slowly, and watch to try and cut off the flow before it spews out.
