The '07 UC's are going for about $16,800 around here. I can buy the same 2008bike brand new for $21,000 flat locally

Check out Kelly Blue Book for a ballpark, then subtract about 6%. I know it sucks, but thats the reality behind the market and theeconomy. By the way, the SERT, grey lenses, alarm etc etc do not hold any value on resale.

they kind of do...i bought a Dyna last week, and the main reason we bought it, was because it had the Air Cleaner, Download, and pipes.

that's $150, $200 and $250, any way you cut it.

and it had a $350 windshield, and the $39 gray lenses.

that's about $750 in parts that were basically "free" because i drove 16 hours to get it, vice paying Retail plus Frieght & prep & taxes & Doc Fee locally for new bike (those markups were $1300)

so in reality, i saved 750+1300 = $2000 for riding one weekend to get it,
and spending another weekend to clean it up to look like new.

i would certainly want some kind of EFI enrichment device to handle the heat on an 07 (especially an Ultra with the lowers).

so it makes the bike more DESIRABLE, but not necessarily more valuable.

but the market does not support $24. i sold an 07 EG for $14,900 on ebay last month.

but, this guy may not be up to date with the market, most fella's aren't, if they are not active on the 'net.

i have a buddy wanting $20k for his 2003 Dyna, and he don't care what the 'net says, or what you say, if you don't have $20k, don't worry him.



edit: looking at his username, & email addy, GOOGLE that, he owns his own business, and he's so busy, he don't keep up with HD prices. (same as my buddy)

Damn it!!!! Do you mean to tell me that my HD wasn't a financial investment? If I want to sell it after putting a few hundred miles on it that I may have to sell it for less than what I spent?

Seems a lot of people believe this to be true, that's why so many people trying to sell their HD aren't recieving any offers. Holy S#!T though if it isn't every other seller thinking they can get way more than what there bike is worth. I have been looking for a used bike for a year now, and as much as I hate to do it, I may have to by a new one.

Again, I am in no hurry to sell this bike, i just got the idea to post it and decided to see if anyone was even remotely interested, now I am getting bashed because of my price. You know what, if you don't want it, don't buy it! But I see that you do that to everyone, so I am not getting any special treatment here. If you want a brand new bike for 21k, I say GO GET IT and stop bashing my ad!
