No tickets on these videos but I have been pulled over many times. A few tickets, a lot of warnings, but sometimes they just want to see the bike.

...and that's why you can have a 300hp engine on a bike that's still slow as $hit...

All that power, just spins the wheel... looks cool, cool vids, but I like it when the power is transfered to the street, and my wheel grips, thereby propelling me forward at high speed!

Those there are just too much bike...

Herr Monk, that's why they make those tiny little bikes for those that can't handle the BIG STUFF. It keeps smart assed little shits from hurting themselves.

There are only 600 502ci bikes in the world and only a hand full of us turn the handle. A few of those have died doing it. Boss DOES build bikes with small blocks in them for those that don't want to chance spitting their ass off by accident. The 502 is no longer available as it has been replaced by the LS2 430hp Corvette motor. This bike has a shorter wheel base and seat height and will HOOK UP and scoot so you won't have to be afraid of it.

All Boss's do 120mph in FIRST GEAR........Yours? If you haven't seen the other side of 170mph TWO UP, then your just pissing on your feet here.

And the hp is 500.

I have good reasons for the words below.

fj4069,
take a look at the  Chrome NOS Bottle behind the ladies leg.  720hp on the NOS. The bike is over seven years old and well over fifty thousand miles of trouble free, hard assed riding on it. BUT, like the man said, I can't hook it up. Most all other bikes stay hooked up, the FUN is unhooking it and riding the beast half out of control.

I like your HD, the apes are cool.... Never rode with apes put I love the way they look. This is a friend of mine (Stan-owner of V8 Choppers) and his wife on one of thier bikes. It has a 400ci 520hp Dart motor in it. Baaaaaadaaaassss chopper

Enjoy your ride,
CR

Boss Hoss vs Kawasaki ZX-12R:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fI_GvCl8ei8

This race was filmed in Dyersburg TN, where one of the locals met up with the Boss Hoss factory crew. The owner of Boss Hoss was there as well as test riders. The ZX-12R won every race, roll-ons included. The Boss Hoss people even tried adding a passenger on the 500hp machine to help with traction, but it still lost to the Kawasaki. The owner of Boss Hoss was not so happy...

What the Boss Hoss needs is a good gearbox. 2 gears is not enough.

First off, no one here said anything about fast or racing.. The Boss is a Cruiser, like Harley or any other cruiser they do have their limitations in the corners. As for the rocket bike... damn rite it's fast... I see you didn't post a vid of an HD racing one. One of my last rides was a ZX11 crotch rocket. Lots of fun in the mountains but truly sucked around town or on the interstate.

The Boss is a great open road cross country bike. I have done many 500+ mile days on her. It has well over 50,000 miles on her. The fact that it has over 500hp is just the icing on the cake. To you... too much power is a problem...but to me it's a WONDERFUL problem to have.. When you have to add a person on the back for traction ~~ that kind of tells the whole story about the awesome power of this bike, because they still smoked the tire. I have been beside one of my friends at about 150mph and the guys WIFE was on the back reading a book.

To be able to light the tire from 60mph does scare the living shit out of most folks and has killed some others. BUT~~~~~that is the very reason I ride the beast. The rocket bikes can't do that.

I had four bikes when I bought the Boss..... I now need only one!

As for the gear box, that would only make the traction problem worse. The bikes are geared high to get the motor OUT OF IT'S POWER BAND to improve traction. That's why all Boss bikes will do about 120mph in FIRST GEAR. The faster you go on a boss, the faster the Boss gets. You do not run out of power on a Boss, you run out of ROAD. I have gone well over 160mph on her (160 speedo) and it was still pulling HARDER and HARDER and HARDER.

What they need ---IF YOU want to go fast is TIRE. Some Boss guys have over 1,000hp and very large tires and still add 50Lbs of lead to the rear of the bike for traction. Yes, they still smoke the tire, but you would not want to race one of them.

I'm also glad that everone does not like them~~~ I love pulling up everywhere I go and having the only one there. I've gone to many hot rod car shows with it and have had the BIGGEST engine there. That's kind of cool.

The biggest problem with the bikes are: NONE of your friends will ride with you anymore.--NONE of them. They ALL tell me that they don't like parking thier 30K chromed out HDs and have them ignored by everyone taking pics of the Boss.

You can choose to be "one of a million" or "ONE IN A MILLION'

Ride what you want and let others do the same. I hope to see ya sometime on the road.

Rick,

Although i just got my first Hoss last May, i have been wanting one for 7 years and finally was able to get one. As far as being slow as shit as Herr Monk Says,,, well this paint was laid starting at 60mph and at the end of the paint it was at 120mph,,, not a very long paint stripe either. Also i did get her up to 138 mph today,,, fastest yet for me and was at 3800rpm. Sack is growing,,,Redline is at 5700rpm. This was in front of the HD shop nearby,,, If I waited around for Herr Monk to paint a stripe on his HD,,, I'd still be there Also,, it's not what you ride,,, it's that you ride,, to each his own and since i got the hoss,, the HD has been parked, and fixing to be sold to buy the wife a Hoss Trike

If you want a little more comfort and a little less speed, here's what I ride now. It's "only" 385hp but it does have a three speed auto. Doesn't spin the tires much, just hooks & goes.

So, how long is that stripe? 30-40 yards? A calculation based on average speed during that acceleration shows that your Hoss went from 60-120 mph in about 1 sec or less, with a spinning rear tire. That isn't even remotely possible. I'm sure your bike is very quick though, just not that quick.

Darryl

Let's see here:

During such an acceleration your average speed will be at least 90mph. At 90mph you travel 44 yards/sec. So the 60 yards of your stripe would take 60/44 = 1.4 sec to lay down. That's still 60-120mph in 1.4 sec with a spinning rear wheel. Do you even believe in that yourself?

Sorry for being a skeptic, but do you believe 60-120mph in a little over 1 sec is possible while doing a burnout? Seriously?

Maybe the Boss Hoss factory should've hired gaston to do the race against the ZX-12R. If what he's saying is true, he would've smoked that Kawi easily while at the same time laying down a nice rubber stripe. Time to apply as a test rider gaston?

Fred,

If the factory can't beat the ZX, neither can i as i have only had my Hoss less than a year, as in any sport there will always be someone faster, with deeper pockets. Maybe I am full of Shiite, but if you ever ride one with an open mind, you'll have to have one IF you like speed and acceleration.

Daryl,
about Fred ZERO ZERO and those like him. The point is that if he does not like V8s, then why does he keep looking at them? Why does he not say what bad to the bone ride he has? I think he only has a few shirts, maybe a decal or two. The answer is because he is a looser with no BALLS, no life and no money. He spends his time looking for someone that is having more fun than he can afford or has bigger balls than himself, so he can make smart assed remarks about them in the hopes that it might make him feel like the man he knows he AIN'T.

It's always the boys with the least power that seem to have the bad attitudes.

Ride what you want and let others do the same.

You ask why people look at the videos you post. I think the bigger question is why you are trying to work people up.

Anyway, seems like you got what you wanted.

LOL.

Nice job!

Anyone who rides one of those things is just looking for attention.  He said it himself, he gets a kick when cops pull him over just to look.    What's all that 6000cc of power for?
These bikes aren't particularly fast or quick: Pro-Stock bikes running sub-seven second 1/4 miles only need to be 160ci.  The fastest production bikes are under 1500ccs.  Even with a professional driver these things barley break 11 seconds.   The best touring bikes don't get much above 106ci, are a whole lot more comfortable, a whole lot more manageable and whole lot classier.

A 364 ci, 1675 lb bike is just a big noise making attention grabber for guys who need every additional impotent cubic inch  between their legs to augment what God has (or hasn’t) given them.  We all know there’s nothing chicks dig more than a prosthetic, noise making phallic.     So cool are you!  You can spin your rear wheel!  Maybe next we can see who can stall-out the best!

Crazy Rick go troll someplace else, or better yet, just go back to your V8 "bikers" and talk about how big and manly you all are with all your big expensive vibrators.

"I also put on WB Iron horse fire starter video, that should get them all worked up..."   as in - enjoying the STANDING STILL burnouts like the V-twins do at the Iron Hourse. I thought you would love that one. I was surprized by the evil crap that the Iron Horse Vid caused. But then I looked at another post here from a Vtwin Bro doing his burnout and some of you roasted him about it also. I guess nobody likes the standing burnouts. (Wild Bill doesn't like them either)http://www.hdforums.com/m_3147778/tm.htm

... I'm sure most will enjoy them, but you know that some of them will HATE IT."

This part is true, isn't it? My only surprise is how few hated it as most seemed to enjoy the show. That is a complement to most of this site. Hell, maybe most hated it but had the CLASS to keep it to themselves. I can't do wheelies and such on my bike, but I don't bad mouth the guys that can. I enjoy watching them do their thing and wish I could join in their fun.

I must admit through that I do have to laugh at the hateful ones that think the only ride is thier ride and must put down all others. I have no problem tossing their crap back at them, although I know I shouldn't. If you look through my post here you will find NOTHING negitive that isn't an answer to someone elses negitive remarks.

Anyway, I've had fun with most of you here and spent hours looking at your Vids. I posted some of the HD vids on the V8 site. Those guys all had positive coments about them. Hell , they think that Harley should be paying some of those stunt guys BIG BUCKS for what they do. They are awesome!

Every time HD comes up with the next big thing, I always go give it a test ride. I like all bikes but I like the ODD custom stuff the best. T-Rex, Choppers of all makes, v8 Coppers, Boss Hoss, anything on wheels that won't be in every parking lot I pull into. I guess I don't like to follow the crowd, I ride my own raod.

There's a lot of cool toys in the world, try them all.
