Default Question, will these pipes work on VROD?

Hello, I am wondering, I have a 06 VRSCR Street Rod with real loud pipes, and don't have the originals, so I have a set of factory stock mufflers off of my 06 Softail Standard, and wondering, will they go on the VROD? does anyone know?

If you can make them fit and map the tuner, pipes off an 18-wheeler will work. All depends on how much time, money, effort and money you want to put in it. (Yah, I said money twice.)

Try the dealer many people leave the original pipes when they get a aftermarket set, the dealer should sell for minimal cost. far better than the time and effor to fit the softtail ones.

DesertSpeed and Shed got this one right, they'll fit but you'll save a hellova lot of time and effort if you go to a stealer or eBay for take-offs.

If it's an appearance thing rather than a money issue of not wanting to buy new pipes and just using the ones you have then you will have to see if the outlet for the third volume on the stock VRSCR pipes (before the mufflers) will slide into the inlet on the Softail mufflers. If it will then all you will need is a custom hanger for the mufflers, if it won't you'll need to fab an adapter which will cost even more time and money.

thanks guys for the info, especially to Cody, I now am looking for some 18 wheeler mufflers, I have seen the ones that go up by the cab, they look to be about 6 feet long. I plan to fab it on, might stick out a little beyond the rear tire, but that will just act as a good bumper too. Do you think it will sound more like a deisel then, that is the sound I am really trying to reach. Thanks again, Wallace
