Been working on this since 99 durring the fall and spring,need to do the interior and exhaust and fix some of my wireing f-ups....its a ground up build from streetbeast out of FL.....She runs nice but still need to get it D.O.T.ed so I can run it out on the road....Built up a 302,650 holly,dual plain intake,street perfomer cam,4 point posi rearend,89 camaro stering collum,p/s,heater only,89 mustang high back buket seats,lowerd with 15" rims on back and 14" on front......and some other things here and there......
Has anyone ever converted ford wireing to gm collum.......??????........have afew little puzzling probs......

Iam going to repaint it,desided I dont like the color, and put in ghost flames.......I think I will go for a gray of some sort.

Unless you're running electronic ignition on your 302, the column wiring shouldn't be an issue?  Unless, you're asking which wires do what in the column?  I've put a GM van column in a '55 ford f-100, but we also had a trans-am drivetrain, so I guess it's not the same as your situation...

Iam thinking I should of went with a 350 in the ford rather then the 302......Its a learning curve I guess....

I went with dual point dist with a electronic ignition wireing,I think Ive narrowed it down to the regulator ground.Maybe.......this spring I will get into it a bit more...

The altinator magnatises(spl)itself when you start it it but it runs great and when the battery is dissconected it runs fine.No burned wires at all...Thats why I think its a ground problem with the regulator......
