dyna tanks!!! Whats the hole for??
 

I am trying to swap out my peanut tank for a fat bob tank and I recently got one but my question is the giant hole on the top of the tank between the fuel caps, after I buy a tank console and figure out how to mount my speedo what goes in between the speedo and the open tank?? Is there a giant gasket or something? Yeah your probably laughing right now but I'm serious I never owned any big twin or a tank off of one and I'm clueless. haha. Even my metric bikes that had tank consoles never had this opening. Anyone wana give me a quick lesson please.

Sounds like you got a tanke for an injected bike. The fuel pump goes in there.

In the top of the tank? I thought it went in the bottom. Well my bike is fuel injected so thats why I went with the 08 fatbob.

Yep, that is where the fuel pump canopy goes.

Well I can't find anything out there to show a fuel pump install for a dyna to help me figure this out but I can't see a fuel pump fitting in this little space with the tunnel in the way[sm=confused06.gif][sm=confused06.gif][sm=confused06.gif]

hey i was just curious how you tank install turned out, also i would like to install a fat bob tank on my nightster, could you please give me the run through on tank install, ive been searching for a tank and cant find what i need. this is my first bike and im not real good at finding parts for my bike lol so any help will greatly be appreciated
