Costa Mesa Saturday Night Speedway Thread

Inland Empire & North Dago Riders, Saturday Night May 10, 2008 is the Opening Night for the Summer SpeedwayRacing Season, At the Costa Mesa Fair Grounds in OC http://www.costamesaspeedway.net/schedule.asp. I am going to try to ride to each race through-out the season, I will use this Thread so that others that might want to ride can all hook up and ride together. Most of the time I will leave from Temecula, and take Ortega Hwy into OC, Stopping at Hell's Kitchen on the way. Stay Tuned for more Info as it gets closer to May, I Hope to see YOU! at the Races.

I can't wait! I'll be taking the Speedway bike out to Perris race track for practice on May 3rd.

Just One week to go, For Speedway at the Costa Mesa Fair Grounds. For Anybody that have never been to Speedway Racing, It is 4 lap races on a 1/8 mile Dirt Track,500cc Singles with NO BRAKES! Check out this Site http://www.costamesaspeedway.net/schedule.aspCosta Mesa Fair Grounds has always had GREAT Motorcycle Parking, your Bike will be Safe just outside the track. I'll be riding from Temecula leaving around 3:00pm, stopping at Hell's Kitchen on the way, Anybody that wants to go with, or meet me at the raceslet me know. Hope to see you thereit's great fun.

I'm not going to be able to race on the10th because it's my niece's graduation from college. [sm=smiley19.gif] So, I will be there on the 17th.

That sounds like tons of fun... what time do you usually arrive at the failgrounds? Thinking about meeting you there...

Hey Ed, they open at 6:00. My first race is between 6:30 and 7:00, and my second race is usually around 8:00. The main event is around 10:00. I start racing on the 17th. I hope to see you there. I need a chearing section!

I get to the fairgrounds around 6:00 to 6:30, The track gates open at 6:00 with the 1st race at 7:30 with the racing over by 10:30. So Cal Speedway has been a Great Time for more than 40 years, lots of Fun, Beer , & all that OC Eye Candy. I can always be found on the BackStraightnear the top of the grandstand between turns 2 and 3. I hope to see you there

It sounds like lots of fun Pegasus... looking forward to hanging with y'alland watching you kick some A$$ this season SBB... bet you'll come in 1st Place on the 17th!
