put out this idea in a different post section here in the forum and got nothing. So here goes - again.
We honor our troops when they return, we serve sadly andproudly at their memorial services and we sendall kinds of things to them where they are deployed.
What about getting together with others in our respective communities and doing thing for the families left behind?
A few ideas come to mind -* help put the yard in shape for summer and keep it that way;
* help get the kids and Mom's bikes, trikes, cars whatever in shape to
be used safely
* help with painting and repairs around the house
* help get the winter stuff packed up and into the attic
You get the picture and all will have more good ideas of what can be done for those at home.
The big question is how to find those families in our towns and start something going without it being seen or felt as a "charity" event - just folks helping other folks and a wayof saying thanks to the families and letting them know we all care.
Let me know what you come up with and if you like the idea get it going in your town.
