What type of paint is the best to use on my 76 sportster iron juggs and heads? Should I use primer?  I want to paint the juggs and heads something other than black.

You'll need to stick with a high heat paint, whatever color you choose.  No primer necessary.  High heat means at least 1000 degrees F.

Yes, but it isn't a very good idea.  The chrome will make the motor run hotter.  And it will be a royal PITA keeping it from rusting between the fins and other tight places.  Chrome is porous.

Right on Pocojc!  Will run considerably hotter.

Thanks a lot for the advice everyone. There are a lot of black motors out there, so I,m probably going to go with white high temp paint -- something to be different.
