Man, a good pair of leather boots treated right will keep your feet dry.

it depends on the severity of the rain...i was riding yesterday when a riding buddy and i had a similar conversation.  he just wraps his legs with seran wrap and said it keeps the water from running down the boots...if your getting wet from the water just hitting the boot itself, get a new pair

My wife has a pair of nylon booties (I don't know what they are called) with rubber soles. They have an elastic leg band and go over your boots and the bottom of your rain suit legs. They work, but I am not sure if I could shift properly with them on. I think they were an H-D product.

Mink oil on the boots does a good job waterproofing them.

There are the gaters that HD sells that cover the boot and go up the leg to the knee.

Crusier works boots are what I use feet stay dry, there is also overshoes that are sold in sporting good stores. They have rubber lugged soles and go over you boots.

Never had a problem shifting or braking with any of them.

G'day mate, Over here in Oz we have these thing called rubber overboots (just like a glorified larger version of galoshers). They're cheap (Aus$15-20) and stretch to fit. I buy mine a size over so they slip on and off easier. Can give you the contact for a shop here if you need them.

Check with some of the outdoor stores that have hiking gear and or canoeing/kayaking gear.  There are waterproof socks out there.

They are called BOOT CONDUMS they sell for 10 dollars and up.
good ones have a flexable rubber sole they rool or fold up small slip on and off.
Find them on sale at every bike event. They wook good in real cold weather also to block wind from boots.

Just saw an ad in the new products section of Roadrunner for goretex socks.  Sounds like what you are looking for.

Go to your HD dealer and get a set of Gators. They fit over your boots and your feet will never get wet again. When they dryout, you can roll them up and put in the bottom of your saddlebag. They take up very little room and work GREAT!!

Tourmaster makes a set of <$20 boot covers that have snaps and elastic to keep them in place. Road for 200+ miles in rain and storms last June across South Dakota and my boots were dry once I took them off.

Got mine at Shadetreepowersports.com but you can find them at many different places.

Rubber Totes are the best I've had.  Put a Walmart plastic bag inside em so they slip on easily over my boots.  Can't beat 'em.  About $12 at most stores.  I got mine at a motorcycle shop(not HD shop).

Decided to go cheap and compact.  Just received a pair of rubber over boots from Whitehorse gear.  They were $17 and come with a stuff sack that is 2x6x6.  Haven't tried them yet but they fit over my boots okay.

Ride Safe.

I use the 'gators' found out harley dealers....about $45 (US).
Only bad thing about them...is you need to know if it is going to rain or not.  The gators need
to go under the rain pants......so you have to put on the gators first, then the pants, then the
jacket.    My experience is....by the time you get the pants on.....and  finally the jacket, the rain has stopped and I am HOT and SWEATY.
If you  do get the timing down....the ensamble works nicely.
