Man, a good pair of leather boots treated right will keep your feet dry.

it depends on the severity of the rain...i was riding yesterday when a riding buddy and i had a similar conversation. he just wraps his legs with seran wrap and said it keeps the water from running down the boots...if your getting wet from the water just hitting the boot itself, get a new pair

My wife has a pair of nylon booties (I don't know what they are called) with rubber soles. They have an elastic leg band and go over your boots and the bottom of your rain suit legs. They work, but I am not sure if I could shift properly with them on. I think they were an H-D product.

Mink oil on the boots does a good job waterproofing them.

There are the gaters that HD sells that cover the boot and go up the leg to the knee. Crusier works boots are what I use feet stay dry, there is also overshoes that are sold in sporting good stores. They have rubber lugged soles and go over you boots. Never had a problem shifting or braking with any of them.

Check with some of the outdoor stores that have hiking gear and or canoeing/kayaking gear. There are waterproof socks out there. Ride Safe.
