Have a beer, smoke a bone and I think what they mean is people who pull trailers with their bikes sir. I'm cool with it. I mean where else could they tie in this sub category. It makes sense. I am grateful that the powers that be for allowing for a trike/sidecar category, surely we can squeeze over for bikes who pull trailers.

I say give 'em a warm welcome aboard. You know what its like not to have a home as a trike or hack rider, lol. Misery loves company.

if they meant people who pull trailers with their bikes, that would be one thing, but the description listed is: "Discuss what type of trailer (open, enclosed, brand) you use to transport your Harley."

trailering has no more to do with hacks or trikes than with dynas, softails, sportsters or tourers. why lump that crap in here with us?

You can 'sort of' blame me for this.
I suggested to the admin of this forum to add a seperate category for bike trailers...meaning cargo trailers and pop-up campers (aspen, bunkhouse, etc). For some reason the sub heading is "Discuss what type of trailer (open, enclosed, brand) you use to transport your Harley"...which I think is incorrect. I will ask the admin to clearify.

I ride a 2001 EG Ultra and dont own a transport trailer but do pull a piggybacker cargo trailer and a Aspen pop-up camper. Most other MC forums have a seperate category for pull-behind trailers as well...I figured so should we. I was a bit dissappointed when this new sub-forum was group in with the trikes. To me, trikes are a complete seperate category, just as pull behind trailers should be. It makes it easier for us users to navigate. Why should I post my camping comments on your guys trike boards? The two are not remotely related.
I will again ask the admin to seperate into a new forum heading if it is possible.

i just sent this to the admin.

"Now I agree with the trike guys...trailering should have its own seperate section. And if it is possible to get even more granular...pull behind the bike trailering (cargo/camping) should not be grouped with haul your bike on trailers (transport) as they are two completely different categories. Most folks that have pull behind trailers cringe at the idea of actaully owning or ever being seen with your bike on a transport trailer...myself included.
Hopefully you can assist in the matter. Many thanks."

cool, man. no offense was intended toward those who pull a trailer with their bike (cargo/camping). i just don't think this is the appropriate place to put"bike haulers."

I thought adding "trailering" was for those of us with trikes and voyager kits that wanted to pull a trailer behind???
