Hi all, usually lurk in the upper part of the forum, but decided to scroll down and see what else this forum had to offer, when I found this post. I retired from the Navy after 23 years and now work with the Fleet & Family Support Center in San Diego. Every service has their own version, I think the AF's is "Airman and Family," but they all have them. (typically referred to as the Family Service Center) These are places where any service member and/or their family members can go for counseling, information, job search help, resources, and my program Financial Education. The people that work at these centers are typically either spouses of active duty members or retired like myself. most could get a better paying job somewhere else, but prefer to work where they can give back to the military and their family members. No matter what part of the world you are in, there is probable one of these centers nearby. If not go to https://www.nffsp.org/skins/nffsp/home.aspx or my own center's site at http://www.cnrsw.navy.mil/fsc/ We really are there to help. All services are free and completely confidential.
