flyburch,

I certainly did. I just used it for the first time yesterday and it's very lame. If Gib could conjure up another specialty bracket, we might get the H-D premium air horn to fit. Maybe we could convince him to quit his day job and work full time as a Rocker consultant.

I understand - sometimes a happy medium is just fine.

If we had a bracket to be able to convert the non-standard Rocker horn mounting to a standard one, we would then have the option of using anything from a standard horn to an air horn. They are all about the same size and use the same standard connection. Unfortunately, the Rocker horn connection is different.

heheheh, You guys are a riot.

If I had one of the premium air horn kits here to look at, I'd glady conjur something up for ya. I'll have to see if I can get the dealer to let me snoop in some boxes.

I was totally embarrased the first time I heard it. I let my friends hear it as well, so we could all make fun of it. Pretty week, so let's look for something else to replace it!!

Some possible solutions

Does anyone know what the vrod horn sounds like? I modified the existing rocker bracket and covered my rocker horn with a vrod horn cover - using part of the vrod mount(about $3.95). If there is room for the cover should be able to use the horn.

On a previous thread someone mentioned using a NAPA horn, they even gave the part numbers. If I locate the thread I will post the part numbers.

Don't know if this will work on the Rocker:

NAPA carries a replacement horn 730-1056 rated at 420 Hz and 132 db made for them by FIAMM. It appears to be the "Freeway Blaster". About $13 - $15 at your local NAPA store.

It fits underneath the HD factory cowbell and hooks up with existing wiring.
