Hi All ........... I've got an oil leak coming from the transmission gasket, can't get a new gasket till end of the week. Is there a dip stick or a way to keep an eye on the oil level ?
Silly question (again) ?

Nope, no dip stick. Drill a hole through the top an push a straw through to check the fluid.

The dip stick is the large allan flat head. Check your tranny screws the tranny does not normally leak for no reason on the top.

I have a 98 LR and every now and then my transmission will come out the vent tube when its running on the kick stand. I like to have never figured out where it was coming from. Mine has a dipstick so I am of no help to you. Keep reading the forums here and you will learn a bunch like I have.
