Default National Parks carry laws

I'm planning to ride the Blue Ridge PKWY this summer. I know that firearms are forbidden in the National Parks, but how does this relate to the roads passing through them? Anyone have any experience here? I have CCW permit that is applicable to all states the pkwy passes thrugh and surrounding areas. Confused

UNloaded encased and you are covered by FOPA.... Otherwise the blue ridge is controlled by the departmrnt of the interoir as a national park .... No dice.

That is my understanding anyway.... If a road runs through Yellowstone the Yellowstone rules of no firearms still apply, I am sure the Blue Ridge is the same. (for now, There is a bill in congress to change national park carry)

The way I see it is as long as you have it concealed properly and act like you have some sense and stay out of trouble no one will ever know you have it anyway.

I hate[:@] that we have to worry about staying within the law when criminals could care less what the laws say.

What you say is very true - but personally I wouldn't carry. I keep thinking what if.......and I decide that I will risk being a sheep. Due to the consequences of becoming a criminal.

I'll always remember the "No Guns" sign at the entrance ofDenali National Park in Alaska.

But I'll also never forget the many signs of "Bear This or Bear That" and thecoup de grace - "Hikers Missing" signs too.

Well...duhhhh!

And one more point: Most people don't know that it's perfectly legal to CCW in any National Forest.

Yet,CCW in aNational Park is taboo?

How screwed up is that?

Do you know about National Monuments? You'll really like this part, it is surrounded by National Forest but I do believe that they are under National Parks. Maybe I just answered my own question.
