No worries Karen! I had already planned on taking the camera. You know this group will always do something worthy of a photo to share with everybody. Can't wait until next weekend at the HH shindig at Dave and Carol's house. It will be good to see everyone again. Dean's arm is much better and we have been on the bike a few times since he had the staples removed. Just having some issues with the radial nerve healing.

Brian is on his way home but his cell phone battery is dead and his charger at home. 
I'm sure he will fill everyone in when he gets a chance but i'll advise you that he is still working on the final details and went home without today.

Long day made even longer coming back home without the Ultra....and the trailer for that matter. Which means, my Heritage is at Dave and C's house and so is the trailer. Which means, my fat a$$ will be going back up there Thrusday to get the Ultra. So, long story short, we ran out of time today, but Killer Creek gave me a good deal and that's where we stand. Just some finalization on Thrusday and the Ultra's all mine!
Oh, and the color of the Ultra...........PURPLE HAZE
One other thing, my Grandmother still wants David and I to ride down to Tifton this Sunday.

Took it out for a demo ride yesterday and it's fantastic! Found out how to turn on the radio and my fat-a$$ commenced to singin' while ridin'. Can't wait to pick her up on Thursday.

A quick history lesson about Purple Haze. Pretty interesting.
Some believe that the song is a reference to LSD or an LCD induced drug trip by Jimi Hendrix. This is not true and was confirmed in several interviews with Jimi Hendrix as being inspired by a dream where he was walking beneath the ocean while a purple haze surrounded him.
Hendrix explained a tone point that the song is about love and disclaimed any intended reference to drugs. He said that the line, "that girl put a spell on me" is the key to the meaning of the lyrics.
The song got its name when Hendrix took the phrase "purple haze" from a Night of Light, a science fiction noel written by Philip Jose Farmer that he was reading at the time.
Interesting too that there was a hybrid brand of Pot going around at that time called the same thing. Purple Haze, said to be very potent but those who took part in it thought differently. And I quote here -->"Smok'd this sh*t wit the funny "purple haze" that got on my hands no big trip. Just plain weed to me".
It's also the name of a Raspberry Beer!

I just thought about it and I will not be bringing any homebrew. It still needs to clarify in the secondary for another week before bottling. 4 weeks until it is drinkable. Sorry! I think I'll just bring what's left of a bottle of Myer's Dark Rum.

Oh yea! One day closer to getting my Purple Haze Ultra! Like the pic of the cake, Cujo. Did you make that yourself? Here's an idea I had yesterday and I may stick to it. Gonna find a Barney stuffed animal and zip-tie his ass to my luggage rack. That will make the bike "official". Oh yea, I figured I have good friends, so does Barney. So, you guys and gals decide who's who in the pic. Myself, guess I'm Barney. The one on the right is supposed to be female, so we will let them decide. One last idea. Gotta get a new sig pic. So, when I get the "Purp" all cleaned up, I've gotta find a Barney suit, throw that on and sit on the bike and have a pic taken!
