Hello all
My ?? is for trike owners. I bought a new 08FLTHCU Trike and while putting the brake in miles on the bike noticed a wobble in the frount wheel. Does anyone else have this problem?

Find out from hte dealer or person you bought the trike from if the front forks were raked at least 4 degrees as this solves the wobble problem. Welcome to the trike family.

Like oldmanjob said, a 4 to 5 degree raked triple tree should help...it will also make it steer alot easier...reduces trail.

A slight head shake at slow speeds is inherent with a lot of trike conversions....

Good luck and ride safe.

I understand that you have a trike, but this may be of interest to you. My front end (06 Road King Classic) is stock. When I added the sidecar, I also added a steering dampener (its really just a shock). For me, increasing speed was not producing the wobble. But as I slowed, the front end would try to wobble, kinda of like the front wheels do when a car with loose sterring crosses a RR.

Anyway, the steering dampener took the wobble out. If you need one, check Motorvation

http://motorvation.com/scmanul1.htm read Item #4 on down the page. Scroll down past the warnings and enter the "Sidecar Operation" section.

You can see the shock on the right fork at the bottom. (Double click on the image)

Same here. I had the low speep wobbles until I put on a steering damper. With it the wobble all but disappeared.
