A forum for the discussion of your sidecar, Conversion Trike or Pull Behind Motorcycle Trailer.
Hi all new to forum, and in the uk,i have just fitted classic chair to my 1983 flh, now i've been riding outfits for years but i've never come accross one as bendy as this should it flex?, are 3 fittings correct?, whats the function of that springythingy on the front top brace?, also is there a towing bracket available. that outa get us started.
I'm don't know what you're describing. My hack is as solid as a rock. It would help if you posted some pics of what you're talking about. You mentioned 3 fittings, if you mean connections for attaching the hack to your bike, mine has 4.
Hank; First of all, what year is the Harley sidecar? Can you provide any pictures of your mounting setup to your bike? I had a '67 FLH with the metal bodied sidecar with mountings I suspect are similar to yours and loved it. My wife used to sleep in the hack as we put quite a few highway miles on it. Remember, this is no high performance rig but a "take your time and enjoy the day" kinda setup. If you send me your email address, I may be able to send you some parts sketches.
We now have a '06 FLHT with a 79 TLE hack on it (yes, it can be done if you are too stubborn to quit!!) and if it ever warms up here in Canada, we are looking forward to some fun riding.
