FLHX 08, 2 piece-Performance machine rotors, stock caliper
- i have the phenomenon with medium to heavy braking, vibration and squealing is felt throughout the whole bike. I had my bike at the Dealership for the first service an they checked everything out (alignment caliper -disk -hub) all seems ok, but i still have this vibration, squealingAny ideas?

I had the same vibration, but no squealing on my 07 Deluxe. I felt the vibration more in the back when hard braking, like a deep hum. I noticed the through-holes on the disc rotors were not de-burred well, I could feel the burrs with my fingers. I de-burred the holes on the front (needed it) and the rear (only a few). I do not have the vibration anymore, but it could be due to wearing in since it has 2200 miles now.

I have had major squealing from the rear brakes on my 08 EG standard since I bought the bike.  Dealer has worked on it twice with little help.  Harley factory rep stated they are aware of squealing problems on some new bikes and are working on the problem but don't know if or when a fix is coming.  My dealer scuffed up the pads and rotor the last time I had it in and it helped a little.

Encountered a similar "noise" that I THINK is a brake issue...a high pitched whine exactly like that of a diesel truck engine blower whine (when they lift and shuift gears)....I THINK it is a brake thing and comes from the front.  Comes and goes and is mostly heard during start offs and shifts between 1, 2, 3rd.  Ideas?
