Hi folks.

I'm putting together a tour for the 2nd week in July. i'm leaving from Providence R.I. so far my plan has me going through Vermont White mountains to Lake george. I'd like to take in the Adirondack state park enroute to Niagara Falls. If anyone has some interesting routes through the Adirondack and would like to share them it would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning on having 5 or 6 days available for this run.

Thanks for any help
Dave

White mountain/ Mount Wahington- New Hamshire. 16 Glen to Gorham, 302 Glen to Littleton, 112 Conway to Lincoln,
10 Littleton to Lebanon, 12a Lebanon to Keene,

Green Mountains- Vermont
30/100 then 9 to Bennington from the New Hamshire to New York border thru Vermont.

New York- anywhere around Speculator (30,28n,8,10) if you look thru this forum you will find Lake Placid, Adirondack Info.

As well you may want to check out the Finger Lakes on the way home.

The ferry ride from Vermont(Burlington) to Keeseville (NY) is a nice way to get to Lake Placid if you want.

As well 20 will run you across NY State if you don't want Hiway to the Fall( the Canadian side is much nicer)

Life is Great....We all Ride!!!!!

They time share everything now...swapping stuff

Wanna swap this ride for a Texas Gulf coast ride this summer? Wanna trade 10 rides here for the one you are going to do? I am envious.

Actually hard to find a road that is NOT a great ride in that area....aside from NY Thruway (90?). 5/20 through western part of the state is through grape country and close to lake.

I assume your going to the NYS Hog Rally in Niagara Falls? It will be my first HOG rally, you will surely enjoy your ride down. If you do get the chance take the ride on the Canadian Side of the Niagara River, it goes from Lake Erie (Fort Erie) to Lake Ontario (Niagara-on-the-Lake) total lenght in around 30 miles, upper river is river level, below the falls the river is deep below you. Both levels give you an awesome view, gets a little crowded near the Falls but the view all along is breath taking! You won't be dissapointed, if you need any other info, feel free to leave me a msg. I am from Niagara Falls Canada, lived here all my life and I take this ride problaby 10 times a year still.....enjoy and will see you at the rally! :)

Docsource, you cannot go too wrong. You know where to stay away from upstate, and if you have to, you CAN get in and out of Buffalo with ease after rush hour. All of those roads in the Adirondaks are fine. If you've got the HOG map, the scenic ones are highlighted and very well maintained. A couple of words of warning. Gas up early, and gas often. You never know when you might be wanting some 93 on a Tuesday that isn't getting there until Thursday.
