As long you like what you put on your Harley - tassels or any thing else who cares - It's your Harley!

ORIGINAL: flyburch does lowering it just bring the seat closer to the fender It brings the whole bike closer to the ground, with the swingarm pivot being the point of rotation. So as the frame comes down, the rear tire/fender come closer to the seat as a by-product. quote:
ORIGINAL: Vikingnomad LOWERED??? That sucker will be scrappin' the road...they are pretty low as is...damn !!! Bone Yeah...it would scrape the road. Hell, I already scrape as it is now. I'd love to lower mine just for the look, but I can't sacrifice the ability to turn. For me, the only option seems to be an air-ride kit. That way I can have full ride height while riding, and slam it to the ground when parked in front of the bar. I just have a hard time justifying the cost of something that I'll only use to make the bike look cool sitting still.

Hey Pete, your welcome. The countdown continues and your days are getting longer. I feel for ya. Kinda like countings days left to get out of jail. May 9th wil be one cool day to remember. I've put about 500 miles on my bike since we lowered it. Not a bad ride at all. I live in the mountains in east Tenn. and have scraped the feelers on the footpegs a coulpe of times on these old twisty's. But no big deal. Have gone over some rather large speed bumps and not scraped anything. I would recommend it, and if you dont like it turn your two screws back in and put it were you want it.

Thanks Steve! I started to wonder if I had taken the right decision regarding lowering the bike. Your answer encourage me to do it! Right now I feel that days are longer than ever but this forum & it's members really helps (or does it really??? makes me want my bike even more!!! NOW!!!). // Peter

Looks all right, but I think your going to have to do something about that license plate. Lay it down or move it, anything but leave it standing up there like a road side sign for a Holiday Inn or something.

That 2-1 looks great, I wish they would make it in the "Blackline". Keep posting pics, I am still playing the waiting game until the 1st of June! So I wander these threads to ease the pain...

I have to admit that the 2 into 1 does look pretty good. I didn't think I liked it before but now that I see it on I might change my mind. Oh well, I went with the 2 into 2 and don't think I will regret it.
