We went out the other day and I had to leave my CCW firearm at home since we were going out with some friends to a restaurant that service alcohol. Ohio law says I cant carry in these establishment.

I guess I'd break the Ohio law. My CCW goes with me - everywhere. If I don't need it, no one will know I have it. and if I need it to save my life - so be it.

Well...I would say that I lock it up in my saddlebag...but I don't frequent places that deny my constitutional rights.

I say when the restaurants finally figure out how much money they're missing out on, maybe they'llget out and lobby against the leftists's agenda that impedes Americans of theirright to keep and bear arms,as the Founding Fathers and the Framers of the U.S. Constitution invisioned.

I too avoid places that tell me I am not welcome, either with signs or because they don't want to fight against laws that bar me from entering.

I havea glued in holsterin the high side saddle bag that holds my gun in place and readily available when it is not on my person. The gun is always there, as I never take it out except to pratice or carry on my person.

I have gun in each of my vehicles on a permenant basis soI don't have to worry about forgetting to move one from one car to the other and I don't have to have it on my person at all times.

Here in Az. your not to carry into a resturant that serves, BUT I would rather be safe then sorry. what they don't know won't hart them BUT what they don't know may save your life.
If you go someplace that serves & someone see's you put your gun into your saddle bag, when you go in some one will be in your saddle bags removing your personal Items & you will have no way to protect yourself.

I'm not familiar with Ohio law, but in Virginia we have something similar about no CCW in places that serve alcohol. Exception is that we can 'uncover' and go 'open' carry and be legal there.

I will admit that I have 'forgotten' to uncover from time to time....as the saying goes 'concealed means concealed' what is your life worth to you?

Florida allows carry in a place that serves food, but if it is a beer/booze
only place, no can carry.
I also.....though.......sometimes carry where it may be illegal.
If no one knows I have it......no harm done. I once picked up my GF at
the airport and forgot I had my derringer in my coat pocket.....(she nearly sh&t a brick).
If I have to carry on my bike and can't conceal.......It is locked in the tour pack.
(not very locked when you think of it.....)

I know its not right but its the law........I dont go to places that voluntary puts up a sign and deny my right to carry. But sometimes when your with a group or meeting a group you really dont have much choice.

I have the leather wrapped bags on my RK and wanted to know if anyone has a good way to lock up mygun............

I think the laws that say you can't carry into an establishment that serves is idiotic at best.

For someone like myself that hasn't had anything in over 22 1/2 years, I wouldn't consider myself a risk for clouded judgement from too many Cokes.

Hard for me to say this, being as I live in the Land of 10,000 liberal lakes, which is 3rd onthe list for the most anti-gun sheeple per capita, our law is much better. Can't be over .04 & be carrying at the same time. Kinda makes more sense...don'tcha think?
