Default Need Tire recom. for 98 fatboy

Ready to replace stock size tire on 98 flstf (rear). Want to go wider without changing belt... Your reccomendations and experiences are appreciated. Slightly wider is what I want, don't want to worry about the tire hitting the belt though. Also wondering who or if anyone is running a dual compound tire? Thanks for your time.

I use to have a 99 FB, The stock MT90 was a 130. I put a 140 Metzler on and had no issues with rubbing, even after 45k miles and 3 sets of tires. I will say the belt would just slightly rub the sidewall but only when I backed up the bike, from the belt shifting on the front pulley because of chane of direction. Hope this helps

I have read that the metzler tire is just slightly more narrow than the stock dunlops and I just replaced my rear with a metzler and will probably go to a 140 next time, but my dad had a '97 Heritage and I don't think he could of went with a 140 dunlop with that wider belt, but he may have been ok with a 140 metzler.
