OK guys, I know this subject has probably been beat to death, but I couldn't find anything on the '08's so here goes.I want to use Amsoil 20w-50 in theengine and primary and 75w-110 in the tranny. I haven't had a chance to purchase the manual yet, so could someone please let me know how much I need in each of the three holes? Thanks
Chris

I assume this is a new bike- did it come with an owner's manual? If so H-D's owner's manuals are pretty good for listing fluid capacities and other basic maintenance items...

I don't know about anyone else but I now officially hate all politicians...
Sorry to inconvenience ya guys, but I'm at work and can't access my owner's manual either. Since this is a new bike and I'm having the dealer do the 1000 mile service, I need to purchase my own oil today, thus the need to know today, not tomorrow. Thanks.

Per the '08 Touring Models Owner's Manual:
Engine - with oil and filter change: add 3 1/2 qts then check oil level using proper cold or hot method
Transmission - approximately 32 fl oz
Chain Case - wet change approximately 38 fl oz ; dry change approximately 45 fl oz
Interesting- those are the same capacities as the '07's. I'm surprised Harley didn't change them yet again...
Hog Heaven- wasn't trying to imply you were dumb or anything when I suggested looking in the manual. You would be surprised at the number of folks who buy a brand new $25K bike and never crack open the manual, thinking there's nothing worthwhile inside.
Enjoy the new ride!

No offense taken. Actually, the way I wrote the initial question, I deserve to be taken to task. I actually have read the manual from start to finish, even the really mundane parts. And yes, I'm really enjoying this bike. It's my first HD, so I'm like the proverbial kid in the candy store.
