well, brand new bike has been in the shop since 4/24, resolving slow leak in rear tire. after new tire installed, still leaked. determined need new chrome 9 spoke rear wheel rim. covered under standard factory 2 year warranty. waiting for delivery. may be ready late next week. only 450 miles, 150 of which is back and forth to service dept at dealer (sticky throttle, now this). almost forgot i had a bike.

OK, final result. dropped of bike for leak in rear tire, 4/24/08; got bike back, 5/7/08; took a couple days to find leak, couple more fighting for warranty, couple more to get a new wheel, couple more to make sure new wheel ok; LEAKY SPOKE; that's what they told me; apparently, 1 of 9 cast aluminum chrome spokes was porous enough to leak 2# of air a day thru the HUB; told wheel made in austrailia; cost me nothing but lost saddletime;
