RE: Vance & Hines vs Rinehart
I can only comment on the Vance and Hines. I love the sound of these pipes, the true dual sound that they make. Mine were really loud when I picked up my bike, but once I had it dynoed they have quieted down. Loud factor I would say 5 or 6. "1" Stock-"10" straight pipe. Some have said that they sound tinny. Mine have a low throaty sound to them. The workmanship looks really good as is the fit and finish. I have no more heat on the right side of the bike, but now the pipe on the left is a little warmer. As for a difference in power, I can not comment on that do to mine beung installed before I picked uo the bike.
I hope this has helped. Good luck! |
RE: Vance & Hines vs Rinehart
Not sure there is a clear cut "better" as that is pretty subjective. I have read of some cracking problems on the Rineharts in the past but I believe they might have that fixed. V&H makes the dresser dual headpipes which allow you to use any slip-on you want. The Rineharts, I believe, don't offer that option. Both well respected names though and make great products. I for one prefer the look of the Rineharts with the balck end caps but prefer the sound of the Vance and Hines. You won't go to far wrong with either one.
