Planning a trip for mid June and thinking of a stop in Biloxi...What kind of condition are things in now days?  (after the hurricane)  What is the condition of the beach? Places to stay?  Best route from Natchez?
What kind of temps should I expect in mid June and will I encounter lots of rain?

Thanks for any and all replies!

Harleyboy, I do not live in Biloxi, but the last I heard is that the casino's have rebuilt/are rebuilding.  I was there about 6 months ago on buisness and it still looked like the storm had just hit, so you have to go into town to find fuel, stores, clubs, eats, etc.. unless you are in a casino or thier hotel.  Today, coming home from work, there was an advertisement on a Biloxi radio station about a newly opened resturant on the beach, which, by the way appear to be clean.  As far as June weather along the northern gulf coast, you can expect temperatures to be 85 to 90 degress f, afternoon thundershowers, and very high humidity. The temps will most likely be in the high 80's until July and August.  This is also the early storm season, but very unlikely you will see any major ones this early.  BTW, this is my SWAG, cause I'm too darn lazy to look it up. lol.  Oh, and I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.  I am in the Mobile, AL area if that helps.

Thanks SoAlposer!

I will probably skip the Biloxi then as I am not into gambling...maybe others will weigh in on this thread with more info.  I will probably spend more time in Nashville,TN...I don't really care about the hot weather but my wife like's to ride more when it is hot out....80 to 90.

Thanks Again!

Since you are not a gambler, might I suggest Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, AL, or just about any of the beaches from there to the Florida peninsula.  As yet, Mexico Beach, FL has not succumbed to the high rise condos-------yet.  If you look on their website, you will find some good deals on rentals, but, things do change since I was last there.  I have been to beaches in Asia, Europe, on the left and right coasts and Hawaii, and the most beautiful white sand beaches are from Gulfport/Biloxi, to Mexico Beach.  Weather is about the same, just a few days/hours difference.  Come on down, and have fun.

there are not as many things to do since katrina messed things up, however, the bridges between bat st. louis and pass christian and the biloxi bay bridge are open.....so you can ride almost the entire coast, they are resurfacing highway 90 (coast road) but it is still a good ride.

yep, the weather is hot and humid, plenty of hotels in gulfport and biloxi, the beaches have been picked over and cleaned up.

"Best route from Natchez?"
84 west to 49 south keeps you off the major interstates.

let me know if you need any detailed info.
