Default Almost legal

Well I've been building this chopper since february and ran it for the first time last sunday.
I still need a headlight, plate light, speedo and rear brake line. All the parts are on the way at the moment.

ALL the parts were purchased through Ebay,I mean everything! Well I had to fabricate a couple of items; bracket for coil, bracket for pipes, modified transmission mounting plate, throttle cable mount.

It is an atlas frame built for the shovelhead, a 1999 evo, a 1990 5 speed transmission.

Thanks to some good advice from members of this forum everything came together without any real trouble.

Here's a couple more, I got a little creative on the throttle cable bracket and left enough material for a punisher slull.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. the seat is an aftermarket used Le Pera, it has a good high back so I won't slip off when hitting the bumps!

I can appreciate that.. similar to my seat and for the same reasons.

Nice bike... I came close to running a shovelhead but came across the evo at a better price($1,900.00 complete with stator, volt reg., coil, Mikuni carb, Headquarter cam & ignition), and to be honest I woosed...
I feared an older shovel would be too much work and an aftermarketshovelhead was too much for me to spend.
How's your shovelhead hold up? Are you running a 4 speed? Looks like you're running the same carberator, how do you like it?

Righteous - The frame is 6" up on the front legs with a 36 degree neck. The backbone is straight up from the rear axle and the manufacturer never supplied a dimention over for that. I got the frame used on ebay but did contact the manufacturer about motor fitment and that's what they gave me.
