I got the bagger hard bag mounts. The road king classic hard bags- the leather ones- sit a little low and of course the mounting brackets and the holes in the bags don't match up. I've tried bending the support bars to allow for more clearance at the rear fender rail- but no good. I could use bolts and drill, but if I do that I wouldn't be able to open the bags....
I've thought about using some kind of springs that would keep them tight to the bike and allow me to swing them out so that I can open them. And yes, I did remove my turn signals.
I called denis kirk where I bought them and they said they don't make a model for the 06 FXSTI. Even though on the website it says that they do fit this model motorcycle. Any suggestions? I bought the bags on ebay and I'm going to make them work, just got to figure out how. Thanks in advance.
