Hi, I will be in the Carolina's in august with the wife and kid possibly looking to make a move. While i'm there scoping things out for homes and work i need something to do with the family. Are there any big attractions or things of that nature like water parks or amusement parks worth looking at. I will be starting in Rock Hill S Carolina and head into the Charlotte area of N Carolina. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Dave

Wish I could help Dave, the Outer Banks are my second home but the Charlotte area and any S.C. are outside of Hilton Head are places I'm not familiar with. Kap

Besides the aforementioned Carowinds, and various HD dealers..... check out http://www.carolinamcevents.com/ for events and rides in the areas you're traveling through. Morrow Mountain is just north and east of Charlotte... pretty nice ride, Lake Lure is just south and west... and of course the Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby.... plenty of good riding.... if you want, and plenty of other stuff, so you can rest.... all a matter of your wants , that day

Hey Dave, I live in Rock Hill and it's a pretty laid back type of town. Not to big and not to small. I just moved up here from Florida during Thanksgiving and have enjoyed it ever since. The riding is so much better here, there are real hills! Any way, if your looking to buy, I would suggest SC and not NC. NC has more taxes and overall just more expensive to live. As soon as my house sells in FL, I will buy in the Rock Hill area. Just my 2 cents!
