I'm looking for a uncut wishbone frame 1948 -1953 for my 1960 Fl because I'm making a Captain America bike in a few months. All I'm finding is junk.I'm willing to do some powder coating in the bargaining or just a cash buy. Mike

Mike, My next project is a 48UL so I too am seeking a wishbone frame. What I have found is if you do in fact find one that has not been hacked you will pay dearly. I have decided to go with a v-twin replica frame as you cannot beat the value. A friend just restored a 42 with a replica frame and it was beautiful. If you don't want a replica frame paughco mekes a nice wishbone for less $$

If you are going to clone the Captain America please, please, please, do NOT cut up a stock, original frame. There are precious few original frames left and those that have them reflect their love for them in the price. You'd be better off either cutting up a repop frame or having a frame built to your specs. It'll be way cheaper too. By the way, not telling you what to do but, since you're starting from the ground up, I think you'd get a lot more satisfaction out of building a bike comprised of your own ideas instead of regurgitating something thats been done over and over. No disprespect, just my opinion.
