Ohio to NC Outer Banks?

first week ofa 3 week ride (leaving June)from Ohio to NC Outer banks. Anyone have a suggested route to get there?

Afterwards we will be going backwest and jumping on the BRP for a while.Not yet sure after that.

I was thinking of taking route 35 across ohio. Jump on I 64 in WVA and take it all the way to Richmond. Drop off on 288 to I 95 and off again at 460 until I hit 168.
