My only complaint with my bike is I'm not so comfy when riding. The current position makes my lower back hurt a bit. I feel like I need to be able to move my butt back an inch or two or straighten my legs out. I really like the looks of the corbin seat thats on the bike, but it's really got a bucket shape that won't allow for scooting back. I'm not so crazy about the tall boy seat and it's look. Perhaps if I got some bars that were an inch or so more forward? Maybe some options for my feet, If I straighten my legs my achilles are laying on the pegs. I'm 6' tall. What suggestions do you have? Thanks, J.

You need to Identify the problem. Is it the seat, the reach to the bars, or the reach to the pegs that you need, a combination of two or all three? The HD reduced reach pegs turned backwards for extra reach are cheap (relatively) and easy to put on. There are a slew of seats available for the V-Rod that can push you back. Cary Faas Racing makes one that tall guys like. If you can find one. you can get drag bars from www.v-mod.com and they are really good at helping you along with your needs. Best of luck. RJ

Get some sportster style handlebars, they will allow you to sit straighter and move back in the seat easier.

Do the reduced reach when flipped the other way also move the shifter and foot brake along with the pegs? And so I can be familiar with all the different models(within vrod) is there a legend that explains them all? Thanks, J.

I'm not a Legend, yet, but here it is in short: A, AW, B, X, SE and DX have forward controls. D and R have mids. Destroyer has rears. Only the D has highway pegs standard. I just kind of hang my feet over the pegs when I'm cruising. Sometimes I have one foot on the peg and one hanging over, or one on the mids and the other up front. Well, just suffice it to say D riders can move around a lot and are ready for the twisties. I think the A, B, D and R came stock with 180 rear tires. I'm not going to get into tank and engine sizes. There are also some brake changes.
