Beretta 686 for turkeys?
Okay, its been Spring turkey season since May 1 up here. I have several shotguns to use, but my best patterns are out of my Beretta. Its the 686 hunter version with 26 inch barrels and an oiled wood finish. Anyway, my buddy brought one of his friend's from work to hunt. The buddy's friend is tricked out with a fully camo Remington and my buddy has a fully camo Mossburg. The new guy starts to comment on how I am going to scare the turkeys and should at least put tape on my gun. I just smile and thank him for the idea. Later that morning, while I am walking out with my bird, the new guy wants to know whymy non-camo gun did not spook the turkeys. I told him that its all in how you hold the gun, and your background. Turkeys do have good eyesight, but if you use the trees and brush to break your image, they will not notice. He then looked at me and just shook his head. [sm=confused06.gif]
