Just did a '95 with Biketronics and amplifier easy install. A lot better than stock, but remember that they are only 4" speakers!!!!

The older stock Harley speakers were 8 ohm whereas the newer speakers tend to be 4 ohm which give you a more output power. I ran 4 ohm speakers with my stock Harley radio and it worked OK. J&M has 4 inch (4 ohm) speakers that are replacements for older stock Harley speakers . Another thing you can try is regular 4 inch (4 ohm) auto speakers. I switched to the Biketronics kit and now looking to try 4" Infinity Kappas which are 2 ohm , as the newer Sony radios can handle 2 ohm speakers.

The older stock Harley speakers have two different size terminasl , you may need to change one of them if you go to something other than Harley - the J&M speakers has the correct size terminals for older Harleys and includes new ones to change your wiring if you have already switched them to something else.

I did see a guy that placed 5.25 speakers in the glove boxes ( lowers) , and they sell 5.25 inch speaker pods to mount to the tourpak, but I think tourpak speakers are a waste of time if you ride 2 up.

on edit: If you go from 8 ohm speakers to 4 ohm speakers you will hear a considerable increase in volume .

Biketronics can set you up.  Installing the whole deal on my buddies 90 this week.  I've gone thru all the install notes and it is very easy to wire up.

For mine - I run a solo seat most of the time - so good speakers in the fairing are a must.

A Pioneer am/fm/cd with IPOD cable and IPOD Nano feeding 4  J&M speakers in the front fairing works absolutly awesome.  2 speakers go in the stock location , then 2 speakers go right next to them.  Need to work the inner fairing to fab the mounts and get the speaker faces, but it is definitly worth it to have 4 - 60Watt speakers blasting at you on the highway.
