This bill has been talked about for quite awhile all over this forum. First started out as 30 mph over the speed limit or wreckless operation and they would take your bike. The bill got reworded to 50 mph over the speed limit, wreckless operation, or intentionally have a wheel leave the ground (dang no more stoppies). At any rate it's $1,000 1st time, $2,500 the second, and a felony the 3rd time to include confiscation of the bike and losing your motorcycle endorsement for 10 years.
Personally I've got no problem with this law, can't remember the last time I did 50 mph's over the speed limit and I haven't wheelied on the road since I was a teenager. Had a kid die right down the street from my office a few weeks agobecause he lost control while doing a wheelie, hit a car and died. So if it keeps one person a live, I say it did it's job.
On a side note on July 1st in the state of Florida if you don't have a motorcycle endorsement you won't be able to register a motorcycle.

I don't like it personally, I do not do that kind of stuff , and I do not feel it is a good to add another law to the books.
Some law officers don't know all of the laws as it is, so it is going to get to a point that no officer will know all of the laws. Just makes it harder for the people who get crappy pay to do one of the most dangerous jobs out there.
That being said I think the majority of people on rockets made this happen.
I am a cop in central Florida. The problem with inforcement is catching them when they don't crash. At any rateI think it's a good law, same with the one for no endorcement no motorcycle registration. Seems to be motly a crotch rocket problem though. So just ride like they got no sense.
My business is speed and race bikes as most of you know. We make our living at the track and or going/coming from the track. The real fast riders, ones with real skill have no need to ride fast on public roads. Just the want to be's or the people with no real skill. The problem other people get hurt, families, others who have to pay extra $ for insurance for the people who can not ride, bystanders, et al. well you get the point. I was young and did stupid crap also, so I am not innocent. I just did not kill myself or hurt others before growing out of it. My 2 coppers
