After 2 1/2 months,  my leg is finally healing!  (yeah)  I can start putting weight on it.  I won't be able to put 800 pounds on it for a several months.  I told the doc I was riding, he just shook his head.   Thanks to the recommendations from you forum members, I was able to get back to riding.  I hope you know how that has helped my life.  I admire those of you who have gone through much more than I have and still contribute to the riding lifestyle.

bdn56,

Glad to hear of your good news but remember it was your determination and perserverance that made it all happen.  As we get older we might not neessarily be able to to race to the objective anymore but those tiny steps do add up man.

While familiarity may breed contempt sometimes it also makes us all realize we are in this soup together and that many hands, whether physically or emotionally, still makes light work.

Back at you big guy!

Great to hear that your riding again.  I'm stuck at home for the next couple of months recuperating from some major surgery.  It's driving me crazy!  Especially when these really nice days are hear and I hear my neighbor taking off from his house all the time.  I told him to try to keep it down a little!  LOL

Fantastic, glad to hear you're doing so well.

Riding is good therapy.

Thanks for the replies everyone.  We rode 200 miles Saturday.  I was ready for the lazy-boy when I got home.  Each week, I can go a little farther.

btefft, glad you made it back from Texas.  Long ride?

philt, hope your recovery speeds up in time for a little riding this summer.

grimm,  try to post your location and expected ride plan in case I get a couple hours to ride over and meet you.   I live 60 miles SE of Montgomery.   It's hard to sit at the computer when the weather is so nice.  Pm me for my phone number if you get close.  If not have a safe ride through Alabama.
