Rear cone nut.....tighten 95-105 ft lbs, loosen one full turn, then retighten to 95-105 ft lbs. Do it this way to properly compress the split inner race on the compensator sprocket to prevent premature bearing failure

Do I need to go buy the right angle attachment to do it right? Are you also saying that this is not a job I should gestimate torque.

If I understand right,Harley's are like my car that depend on the axlenut torque to keep the bearings loaded and Harley's are not like my Honda that just needs enough "grunt" to keep the wheel on.

Tighten it till the threads strip completely off...... then back it up half turn.

NO just kidding , Dawg hit it right on the head. check the bearings and seals for any unusual wear, put it back with the "right" spacers for your application ( in the correct arrangement), torque down to about 105 ft/lb, spin wheel if off the ground, loosen and retighten to about 95 ft/lb.
be sure to replace castle nut pin if so equipped. very straight forward, don't let it "fear ya" good luck

John
