hello guys . Im new to this forum. I just bought a 2003 american iron horse outlaw. It has a 107 s and s motor with an s and s carb. I have noticed that when I look over the air filter I can see two vacuum caps one on the left side and one on the right. the right side one is cracked and the left side one looks like the top of the cap dried up and broke off. if I put my finger over the fitting the bike seems like its going to stall. Im hoping that you guys could help me out . I would like to get familiar with fixing my own bike . I bought the service manual for this motor but it doesnt say anything about the vacuum caps. Get some vacuum hose cap off one end with a rivet stuck in the hose end or(a cut off nail tight fit with clear silicon) re cap the vacuum take offs on the carb

welcome I have an 05 AIH LSC any good auto parts place should have caps, just replace them. S&S has a very good website with complete documentation on that carb. everything from installing to final tuning. My 05, and my previous 04 AIH, as well as a few other AIH's I'm very familiar with all came with a 295 intermediate jet. thats way too small and all seem to run much better with a 31 or 33 intermediate jet. all the ones I have done have been 111's but your 107 probably needs about the same.

I suspect that you are talking about 2 little spigots on the intake manifold. New caps on em both and use small zip-ties to hole them em place. Once done readjust your idle and idle mixture. Those sucker are mischievous and will disappear if you don't zip em down. A good cough through through the intake will blow em off. Bruce
