And now for something completely different
Working at a scrap yardone may encounter the truly strange as well as the daily weird. Such is the circumstance that produced the object de' scoot as pictured below. A little background; KEN TOOL produced a heck-of-a-lotta special tools for
Harley, Indian and others since about 1920 something (possibly earlier) all the way up to recently or later.
Way back about a thousand years ago in the 70's I worked in the largest motorcycle salvage yard in the country, aptly named, Motorcycle Parts and Salvage. We had lots of literature on all kinds of bikes, some of this was "Dealer Accessory Cataloges" and in one of the HD or Indian or Excellcior pamphlets was this tool. Now, and this is where memory gits dim, I don't remember the year of the booklet, dang-it! KEN TOOL has ignored all entreaties and pleas for info.. Its like they don't wanna know about thier own chillren!
Well, to make short story long, I ask, "Can anyone tell me about this thing and what it may be worth?"
Pray do not suggest to me that it is probaly a bead breaker!Oops!
The device is made of cast steel
thanks,
Skip, A&P, Caretaker of the last production Shovelhead
