I'm not sure what part of it would be an up grade on a 2000 road king? Am I going to need this if I put an 18x3 wheel on back? Or is it just with the 16" wheels? Thanks mark

The 2003 and down bikes use a 1 1/2" belt and pulley. That's why the 2003 and down bikes run a narrower rear tire than the 2004 and newer bikes. With the 1 1/8 belt you can run a 150 rear but with a 1 1/2 a 130 or maybe a 140 is the max. 16 or 18x3 wheels will fit the same, you just have to watch how wide your rear tire is.
