I have an 07 Fatboy. Does anybody know how much fork oil is needed in each side when replacing the sliders. Also is a spring compressor really needed if the bike is lifted off the ground. I've removed them without
one other bikes.

I think i used 11.5oz in my 06 Deluxe. I can check the manual (at work right now)

Also, there is no need to remove the Springs when changing just the Sliders. You remove the entire Fork but the Spring stays in the tube.

The manual tells you how to totally disassemble the Forks which includes taking the Spring out only if you plan on replacing the Springs.

I did it over the Winter and it's not really hard once you get things disassembled, like the Headlight and tins.

Hey Mike,
Nice looking Heritage. I just picked up '99 Heritage Sheetmetal to put on my '96 FXSTC, now I need to find a front end and some laced wheels.
